86400 is a film that takes a 4 camera, 3 person crew through the Seaway City of Cornwall ON. The crew has 24 hours or 86400 seconds to interview at least 24 people in 24 different locations, within the 62 square kilometers of Cornwall’s boundary.

The goal of the film is to find the pulse of a city that has withstood economic hardships, public inquisitions, and slurry of negative connotations since the 1960s. The questions will focus on the positive aspects of life in Cornwall, past, present and future, while not ignoring the ups and downs that the city has endured over the past century.
The crew will travel together and interview citizens of Cornwall from many walks of life including: teachers, fire fighters, businessman, artists, etc.
This is the third film from Frank Burelle and John Earle of fishrizzo productions. (Submerged 2007, Treasures of The Lost Villages 2008).

May 3rd: Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to support our project and the community last week. It was great to see so many and hear so many nice things about the film. There was of course lots of constructive critisism which we appreciated. Where do we go from here? Well Smith Falls has expressed interest in having us show the movie there at the end of the month and we are trying to get it to Ottawa and Toronto as well. We'll keep you posted. In the meantime if you want to purchase a copy of 86400 The Movie, you can pick it up at Seaway Valley Tourism on Water Street or online very shortly.
April 29th: 86400 has landed! OK it's been here for a while, but tonight is the night! Tons of emails and calls from people telling me they heard me on the radio and saw the interviews in Ottawa. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement! Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight and Thursday at the theater.
April 28th: Early morning this morning...had to be at CBC in Ottawa for 6 AM, now I am at Second Cup in the market waiting to do my interview on the A Channel at 9:40, then it's off to CJOH for another interview, not that I am complaining! Thanks to Kathleen Petty and the awesome staff at CBC Ottawa for making me feel so welcome and for the gifts! Anyone see us on Cogeco last night? We officially presented the movie to City Council and gave the mayor his 86400 jacket. Can you believe the premiere is tomorrow? Second show is almost sold out! Very exciting time. For those who can make the showings you'll be able to purchase your copy of the DVD online on Friday. Tomorrow morning is another early morning, as I will be presenting the project to the Sunrise Rotary club in Cornwall at 7AM then on CBC Radio's Ontario Morning at 8:20 so tune in and listen to me mumble about the movie!
April 25th: Spent the day with the 86400 Streat Team today. I had a lot of fun and people's responses were fantastic! Lots of great excitement building up to the release! Tickets are running out for Thursday so call Scotia Bank or Seaway Valley Tourism and get yours today! Check out some pics from our street team here!
April 24th: I've received lots of calls after my radio show with Sue this morning, and she is great! I really enjoyed talking with her before and after the interview. Tomorrow morning if you are out and about in Cornwall, our vewry own 86400 Street Team will be hitting the streets premoting Cornwall. Supposed to be a great day too weather wise, so if someone hands you a flyer take it home first before you recycle it! We'll post some photos on the web of the team in their 86400 gear!
April 22nd: On my way back from Boston and I can't check the emails from the website about tickets. I believe the 1st show is sold out, but I will try and connect when I get back to Cornwall and verify that for sure. Frank and Ron should be doing the Cogeco show right now. Hope they are having fun and representing! Check out the Team Cornwall Website, they have the new ad for the movie on the home page with a link to our site. www.teamcornwall.ca . See you at the movies!

April 21st: Handfull of tickets left for Wednesday night's premiere, and people are starting to call about Thursday's show. Really excited for the Shiner's preformance inside the theater on Wednesday. I've received lots of emails from the ladies wondering "What will Joel be wearing?" If you have a chance you should go to their website www.theshiners.com and find out all the latest Shiner news and watch the video for Dirty Old Town. Still trying to figure out how Eric rides a bike and plays guitar at the same time. Frank and Ron will be on the local Cogeco show Begg Your Pardon on Wednesday night at 7pm talking about the movie. I'll be out of town, so hopefully I can get a copy of it from someone.

April 20th: Ticket update!!!!! There are only 10 tickets left at Seaway Valley Tourism for Wedensday night, and I spoke to someone who was on their way to pick 6 up this morning. Scotiabank on Brookdale has 15 left for Wednesday. Please don't delay. If you check with the president of the John Earle Fan Club (Gilles Latour) he may have a couple extra tickets if you can tell him what my all-time favorite movie is...Which of course is Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt! (just kidding)

April 19th: Less than 10 days to the premiere!!!! I watched the movie at Galaxy on Friday with my sister Lisa who came down from Montreal and my son Ryland who turns 3 tomorrow. Happy Birthday little John. Lots of calls this weekend for tickets. I think we have about 40 or so left for the premiere and less than 200 for the Thursday night....Is that a third show I smell? If anyone is interested in seeing it and can't make the two nights but could see it on Saturday morning let me know. john@fishrizzo.com. For those who've reserved online you should have received an email from me confirming. If not send me an email. If you get a chance check out the www.choosecornwall.ca site and visit the arts page. You'll get a peak at some of the fantastic artists that live and create in the Cornwall area.

April 16th: Anyone who made it out to the Marketing in a Digital Age Breakfast put on by Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre yesterday certainly heard about John Earle and his movie and his cupcakes (Thanks Bob)....OK I am not that John Earle, but if you get a chance google Johnny Cupcakes! What a cool John Earle. Tickets sales are really ramping up...and I am getting tons of emails from people who are talking about coming to the movie, I just hope they buy their tickets soon! Keep Listening to Rock101 in Cornwall for your chance to win tickets to the premiere. Check back to the site next week to see a sneek preview on the movie.

April 9th: My friend Joanne from Rochester gave me lots of ribbing for not updating this blog, so I figured I'd better post something. Wow, can't believe it's easter and that the premiere is only a few weeks away. For those local to Cornwall there's a story in the Seaway News and the Standard Freeholder today about the movie and the premiere. Also for those who are part of the Cornwall Facebook group you can read all about the movie. For those attending the Wednesday night show you get a treat if you show up around 6:30 the Shiners will be performing some of their songs that are in the movie in the theater!
Now I better update this site every couple of days or else I be in trouble! Not many tickets left for the Wednesday night show. If you want them better get them fast!
